Steve Anderson is
the founder and president of Global Development Solutions Corporation. Prior to
establishing GDS, Steve was Manager of Global Sourcing for a manufacturer of
high-performance valves and controls, where he developed and implemented a
sourcing strategy. He regularly visited and developed suppliers in Italy,
China, India, Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan.
Before that, Steve
was Chief Engineer and was involved with a wide range of products, their
applications, field service, product liability, and offshore product
development.
Steve has over 30
years' experience in private industry. He has held management positions in
Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Global Sourcing, Purchasing,
and Cost Reduction, and he was the Chairman of his firm's Quality Improvement
Process.
In
addition to his having extensive manufacturing experience, Steve has cultivated
numerous relationships with offshore manufacturers. He first visited Asia 20
years ago and continues to travel there frequently on behalf of his clients.
He
has visited hundreds of manufacturers in Asia.
Steve earned his
BSME with honors from the University of Massachusetts and an MS in Management
from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
